FAQ

How much do counselling services cost?

Our basic rate for counselling services is $130/hr. Rates may fluctuate based on the training and experience of the counsellor. You will be advised of the rate at the time of booking.

Do you offer low cost counselling?

Yes, we offer low cost counselling through our student counsellors. Student counsellors are in the process of completing their professional education and require clinical practice hours in order to graduate from their program. They are generally in our practice for approximately eight months at a time. Student counsellors receive regular supervision from an associate counsellor during their placement with us.

Do you accept health insurance for counselling?

We do accept insurance although at this time, we are only able to direct bill to Blue Cross. For all other providers, we will provide you a receipt at the end of your sessions that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. We encourage you to check with your insurance provider regarding your coverage as your policy may specify approval is based on the qualifications of the provider (some policies will specify the counsellors must be a social worker, counsellor or psychologist).

We also work with programs such as:
Social Development

Victim Services

Veteran’s Affairs

WorkSafeNB
– NIHB

Do you offer virtual counselling sessions?

Yes, all of our counsellors offer virtual sessions, whether by telephone or video. You may book your sessions through our online booking portal and indicate your preference for a video session or contact us at 217-8433 to make arrangements for this.

What are your hours of operation?

Our telephone and office hours are Monday to Thursday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and Friday from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. However, many of our counsellors work in the evenings and may schedule sessions for you outside these hours.
