Meet Olga Scibior
Licensed Counselling Therapist
I have a Master in Education in Counselling Psychology, a LCT, and over 25 years of experience working with clients on a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief, chronic pain, relationship issues, separation/divorce, domestic violence, sexual assault, sexual abuse. Also with workplace related issues such as workplace harassment, work stress, burnout. I work with adults and couples.
Helping clients who have experienced trauma in various ways has always been a primary interest. I am a trained trauma therapist offering EMDR as a primary approach in trauma treatment. In addition, I have over 15 years of experience in providing in person trauma debriefing in workplaces where traumatic events have impacted employees.
In my personal life, I am a recent newcomer to New Brunswick this past summer, having been a long-time resident of Nova Scotia accustomed to many years of ocean kayaking on the Atlantic coast. However, I have fallen in love with the magnificent kayaking and hiking venues in New Brunswick such as the Bay of Fundy and Fundy Parkway.
I use an approach developed over decades of experience in which a gentle, client-centered stance offers the combination of empathy, kindness, a safe space to explore emotional pain at the client’s own space.
